Where's Dave?
In July 2012, Wizards of the Coast republished the three core 1st edition AD&D books. When they were originally published in the late 70's, Gary Gygax was listed as the sole author. Some of you may recall that this engendered a
“creative rights dispute” between Dave Arneson and Gygax. The terms of a 1981 settlement specified that Arneson would receive “co-creator” credit for Dungeons & Dragons. However, the 2012 versions of the books do not even hint at Arneson's contributions (click this link). Are you OK with that? If so, take out your OSR membership card and tear it to pieces.
